The British Council is pleased to announce a one-day forum to be held in London at One Whitehall Place, London, on Friday 2 December 2011.
The British Council invites the following professionals from the UK sector to attend this forum:

  • Pro Vice Chancellors
  • Heads of International
  • Senior HE sector representatives who are engaged in or wish to expand partnership work with the US

(Please note that there are a limited number of places available for this event, and places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis)

With a changing global higher education operating environment and new horizons opening up for both the UK and the US, how can we ensure that the UK remains the partner of choice for research cooperation, teaching and staff collaboration, and student mobility?

This event will cover best practices on partnering from renowned US universities, provide a US perspective on partnering with the UK sector and lessons on how to engineer the perfect partnership. There will be updates on the US sector, details of various UK – US funding initiatives, such as the UK-US-India strand of UKERI and a preview of new market intelligence.

There will be panel discussions and workshops that cover the following topics: Changing Models for Success and Opportunities for Partnering with the US, Engineering Research Partnerships, Case Studies, Corporate and Institutional Partnerships, and Trilateral Relations.
