A draft of the national mid- and longterm education reform and development plan, the 2020 strategy, has been issued for a second public hearing, and this process will finish on 28 March 2010. But what impact is this likely to have on the
higher education sector? Is internationalisation part of the reform agenda? What role will the government play in supporting internationalisation in the future and what are the challenges facing Chinese institutions as they seek to internationalise? The panel will discuss the impact of the reform
on the 'internationalising' of higher education and the policies and approaches they have taken to working with international partners
