T2 Cisco site visit: a journey through the 21st Century learning environment
4 March 2013 - 14:00-16:00(please allow for additional 20 minutes travel time each way)
21st Century learning in a higher education institution is no longer confined to an ivory tower, a single campus or a single classroom. Today’s learners are virtual, visual, social and mobile and, as such, they demand constant access to top quality learning materials and support anywhere, any time and from any device. Technology has the ability not only to connect people but also to transform traditional learning environments into powerhouses for innovation and collaboration.
This session will offer Going Global delegates the opportunity to visit Cisco’s premises in Dubai Knowledge Village/Internet City. Delegates will gain a deeper understanding of Cisco's vision for 21st Century learning as well as the latest technologies and solutions that support high quality education, help improve student outcomes and expand research capabilities.
This tour will be organised in full by Cisco. Cisco will arrange transport for delegates to and from the venue (address below). On signing up to the tour, you are agreeing to your contact details to be provided to Cisco for the purposes of coordinating your attendance on the tour. Cisco will send out joining instructions two weeks prior to the event. Please send any queries relating to the tour to bonellis@cisco.com
