Europe and beyond: new partnership models, TNE and Bologna
26 March 2010 - 11:45
As the Bologna Process approaches its tenth anniversary in March 2010, it is turning its attention externally to engagement
with other international higher education sectors. This session is devoted to new developments in the internationalisation
of European higher education. It starts with the particular case of Germany and works outward to the European and global
levels. Ulrich examines models of bilateral and multilateral teaching and research partnerships emanating from German institutions. Steve
examines the external impacts of, and external responses to, the Bologna Process and considers its implications for the further
evolution of international collaborations. From an international perspective, Dennis will provide insight from the Australian perspective of the
impact of Bologna and recent developments in Australia-European co-operation, future directions, policy priorities, and how this translates to institutional engagement.
