Global talent wars
5 December 2008 - 09:30The fight for talent is becoming one of the most pressing issues for businesses worldwide. Global competition and communications, 'distributed' patterns of innovation and delivery and global labour shortages all pose significant challenges to employers and employees.
Employers need motivated, talented people, who can work in global teams operating across national boundaries. For those who can develop and demonstrate these skills, opportunities abound. Professor George Yip will provide an insight into latest trends in global workforce development and will consider the role that international education can play in equipping students for this. A panel, which will include global employers, will debate the implications.
