Responding to HE internationalisation
25 March 2010 - 15:00Higher education internationalisation impacts on every corner of the globe. This session offers analytical snapshots, from three different perspectives, on the responses and adaptations to this process. Ross Hudson will present on key topics and areas of change found within the IAU 3rd Global Survey on Internationalization of Higher Education. The results of the two previous IAU Global Surveys will also be examined and comparisons made. Iman El Kafass and David A. Kirby will take a critical view of Egypt's higher education reform strategies and plans for higher
education internationalisation, concluding on some positive achievements. Judith Lamie and David Law of the University of Leeds will take two case studies and look across the whole range of university activities in an analysis of how UK universities are responding to the internationalisation challenges, including practical guidance for universities
