Internationalising Higher Education

Alun is a Director, based in the Leeds office, who leads on Veredus’ Higher Education activity. His background is in the Higher Education (HE) sector having worked for the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and before that for the University of Wales, Swansea. After completing an MBA at Smurfit Graduate Business School, Dublin, in 2004, Alun started his own consultancy practice in the Higher Education. Since joining Veredus, Alun has led on international senior leadership assignments across the UK HE sector.

He has led on functional Director, Dean, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor appointments in a range of Russell Group universities, as well as a range of more specialist academic roles such as Head of School, Research Institute Director and Professorial appointments. Alun has regularly delivered sessions for the HE Leadership Foundation’s Top Management Programme as well as sessions at the Association of Business Schools for aspiring Deans and networking sessions at Said Business School.
