Internationalising Higher Education

Erick Outa is the Deputy Vice Chancellor in Finance and Administration at the United States International University (USIU) in Nairobi, Kenya. He has an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town and holds an ACCA diploma in International Financial Reporting. He has over ten years experience in financial matters in the public, private and academic sectors having worked as a financial analyst and Chief Financial Officer for various local, regional and multinational companies before joining USIU. He has been a member of the Institute of Directors since 2006 in addition to being an active member of the American Accounting Association. He is an adjunct faculty in the School of Business at USIU where he teaches International Financial Reporting. He currently chairs the Professional Accountants in Business Committee at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Kenya. He has published widely and has been the key note speaker in various fora.
