Professor Jose Celso Freire Junior studied Electrical Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1988), receiving his Master's in Computer Science from University of São Paulo (1992) and PhD on Computer Science from University of Grenoble I (Scientifique et Medicale - Joseph Fourier - 1997). Jose has experience in Software Development for applications on Education, acting on the following subjects: education systems, software engineering and open software.

Professor Freire Junior is currently an associate professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista ‘Júlio de Mesquita Filho’ (UNESP) and Head of the International Office of the University and president of the Association of Brazilian High Education Institutions Offices for International Relations. Beside his work on internationalisation, he acts in the areas of Computer Science, with emphasis in Software Engineering and in the Development of Web Systems with educational applications.
