Shaun Gannon

Shaun is responsible for the delivery of many of CENTRIM’s business interface projects and is a certifying trainer of the department’s Managing Innovation Training Programme. He currently heads the local wing of the FP7 project, SMBIOPOWER, through which biomedical engineering Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to engage in European research, and he also launched an international wing of the University’s SME learning network programme, ProfitNet, in South Africa in 2007. Shaun has led the monitoring and evaluation function of locally and internally funded projects and seeks to exploit data for reporting, knowledge management and research purposes. Shaun uses Web 2.0 technology and he is the co-developer of the Innovation Wiki (used to share knowledge among academics, business and policy makers) and administers a thriving pan-European online social network of consultants through the SM-BIOPOWER project.
