Volunteers are essential to help Going Global run smoothly. The following gives an overview of the role of volunteers.

This is an excellent opportunity to attend a conference with policy makers and practitioners. Volunteers will work during conference breaks and a minimum of three hours per day during session times. Volunteers are free to attend sessions when they are not scheduled to work.

Times and locations:

• Going Global 2013 will be held in Dubai, 11-13 March 2013. Detailed information will follow closer to the event.

Tasks (not limited to):

• Opening Reception registrations
• Registration desk
• Information desk
• Spotme registration
• Delegate bag distribution
• Human signage
• Room assistants

Dress code:

All volunteers will be provided with an event t-shirt which should be worn with either black/grey business trousers or a black/grey skirt.

Travel and accommodation:

Volunteers are responsible for making their own visa, travel and accommodation arrangements. The British Council cannot offer any sponsorship for attending the conference.
