Volunteers
Volunteers are essential to help Going Global run smoothly. The following gives an overview of the role of volunteers.
This is an excellent opportunity to attend a conference with policy makers and practitioners. Volunteers will work during conference breaks and a minimum of three hours per day during session times. Volunteers are free to attend sessions when they are not scheduled to work.
Times and locations:
- Going Global 2013 will be held in Dubai, 11-13 March 2013. Detailed information will follow closer to the event.
Tasks (not limited to):
- Opening Reception registrations
- Registration desk
- Information desk
- Spotme registration
- Delegate bag distribution
- Human signage
- Room assistants
Dress code:
All volunteers will be provided with an event t-shirt which should be worn with either black/grey business trousers or a black/grey skirt.
Travel and accommodation:
Volunteers are responsible for making their own visa, travel and accommodation arrangements. The British Council cannot offer any sponsorship for attending the conference.

If you would like to volunteer at Going Global 2013 in Dubai, please send a copy of your current CV to going-global@britishcouncil.org. Once your volunteer position has been confirmed, you will be asked to register online.
