Press Release: FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: UK- Turkey HE Knowledge Partnership Programme ***DEADLINE EXTENDED & OPEN TO ADDITIONAL SECTORS****

Further to our announcement of (insert Date of last announcement), British Council is pleased to extend the deadline for receipt of jointly submitted proposals from UK and Turkish Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to develop projects in collaboration with industry. We are also very pleased to open applications to new sectors. The objectives of the HE partnership programme are:

  • To engage academics and industry in collaborative partnerships between the UK and Turkey, in key sectors of value to both countries, initially: Agriculture, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development, Financial Services, Food security, Health and ICT
  • To share best practice and build capacity in Higher Education and industry collaboration
  • To provide a model for collaboration that can be extended into new sectors.

Total funding will be over two years. Year 1 is to a maximum of £20,000 GBP with the assumption that this will extend into Year 2 up to a maximum of £5,000 GBP on the basis of satisfactory outputs and proposals for building on the first year experience.
